The stage was set for a rocking good time as the 5th annual Doc Rock fundraiser took over Mobile's iconic Soul Kitchen this past weekend. Five local bands with ties to the USA Health system battled it out, all in the name of raising critical funds for research and clinical needs across the Gulf Coast healthcare network.

Crowd-Pleasing Performances

From funk and jazz to Motown and country, the diverse lineup of Eklektik Experience, No Complications, Sixth Sense, Sloth Racer, and Society Hill had the packed house on their feet all night. What this really means is that the Mobile community is passionate about supporting its local healthcare heroes - and they proved it with their enthusiastic cheers and votes.

Bands Compete for a Cause

The friendly competition was fierce, with each band vying for one of several coveted awards. Audience members cast their ballots by donating, with every $1 counting as a vote for their favorite group. Prizes up for grabs included the Crowd Favorite Award, Technical Award, Fan-atic Award, and the top fundraising Rock the Mission Award.

Fueling Critical Needs

The bigger picture here is that this event has become a beloved annual tradition, raising nearly $200,000 since its inception in 2022 to advance essential research and clinical care across USA Health's network. As Natalie Fox, CEO of USA Health, noted, "The energy in the room is unmatched with wall-to-wall smiles, great music, and a night full of fun that rallies support for our health system, our employees, and the patients we serve."

And with this year's edition being the most successful yet, it's clear that the Mobile community is committed to rocking out for a cause that hits close to home.
